From Russia with Love

Any time that you can get a rifle from Russia that isn�t cut in half, it�s a beautiful thing.

Continuing with my .22 rifle kick I had to have the Russian Vostok CM2 target rifle. When I went to order the rifle I noticed that they had listed one with rear sight and for $100 less they had the rifle without rear sight.

So I decided to grab one of each. The darker rifle has two extra stock spacers so it has about � of an inch longer pull to her.

They are both marked �Made in Russia� and also proudly sport a CCCP crest from back when Russia was Russia and America was.... well a different America.

One has a standard crown and the other has a recessed crown.

The stocks were both a bit rough but there is no major damage to either one. One has some graffiti that I think I will keep.

I am missing a screw on the rear sight but I am working to get it replaced.

It will take some time to get the other one scoped without drilling it so the range will have to wait for now.

I have some work to do to get them cleaned up.

Overall I think these rifles are a great deal.

Very cool, makes me want to break out the XC skis and go biathaloning!

Just got home from picking up my 2 newest CM-2s. After hearing from Cody that they had less than 20 left I was worried that I may get 2 dogs.

Instead I ended up with 2 beautiful blond twins...

No stickers to take off this time! They are 34 apart in serial numbers. Both have serrated bolt handles and recessed crowns. The top one even had a sling mount in the rail.

CDNN really out did them selves this time!
